The healthy grass that results is better able to crowd out weeds trying to establish themselves on your lawn and so helps with weed control in the long term. A top dressing will also improve drainage at the surface of a lawn growing on naturally dense soil or soil that has become compacted over time. Such improved drainage makes it more difficult for moss to develop. Top dressings can also be used following seeding and overseeding to protect the developing plants from drying out as they establish themselves.

The Green Green Grass Company can supply the appropriate amount of high quality top dressing soil for your lawn and spread a uniform layer of this soil across its surface. If required, grass seed can be added to the top dressing to thicken the lawn. For enhanced results where appropriate, we can apply several layers of top dressing soil over a period of weeks.
